McKayla & Primary Childrens Hospital.

On new years eve we had to take McKayla to Primary Children's Hospital for a procedure called a V.C.U.G. It was a long hard day for all of us, but we made it through with out any problems! We had to be to the Hospital at 1:00 pm, so they could do a ultrasound of her blatter and kidneys. She was such a good girl and sat really still so they could take all the pictures they needed. After they were done they gave her this really cute stuffed snowman! (or how she says it, moman) When that was all done they took her to a little room and gave her the oral sedation, It pretty much made her act really drunk, and sleepy. (this way she wouldn't remember any of this!) Because she was still being a really good girl, they gave her another stuffed animal, this time it was a REALLY BIG Moose! When the sedation kicked in they took her to the surgery room (and they let me go with her!!!) it went really quick even thought they told us it could be a few hours, it only took like 30-45 min. When it was all done they let me take some pictures of her, so here they are!

My mom and McKayla when she was sedated.
Roger holding his little girl before the procedure.
She wanted Mommy to hold her!
She was acting really silly, leaning back and asking to get down so we took this picture of her being silly!
The procedure.
Another one of the procedure.
McKayla and I in the recovery room.
In the wheel chair about to go home.
The stuffed animals she got for doing so good!
Another one of her about to go home.. She is still a little out of it, can ya tell???

After all, it went really good! The Doctor told us everything looks good! (the BEST news EVER!!) And we really loved everyone at the Hospital, they were GREAT to McKayla!!!

I was so glad to hear that everything went well and that she is okay. it is no fun when your kids don't feel good and you have to take them to the hospital. I hope she contunes to do good.
